25th Annual Fantasy Football Draft Night a Success!

Dallas Cowboy legend Jay Novacek hosted the 25th anniversary of Fantasy Football Draft Night benefiting The Warren Center.  At the annual football-themed event, guests created their own fantasy football teams to compete against one another with hopes of winning the grand prize: two season tickets to the Dallas Cowboys. Watch highlights from the evening in the video below.

In the past 25 years, the event has grown from a group of friends in a small informal gathering, to several hundred at the old Dallas Cowboy Stadium, to now 500 attendees at The Westin Galleria Hotel. The new event location received rave reviews and the attendees received the VIP treatment and ultimately raised over $250,000 for children with developmental delays and disabilities!

As the night began, new and familiar faces mingled with the crowd while event volunteers directed patrons toward the new ring toss activity and silent auction.

Guests participated in exciting games like Live Surprise and the crowd favorite Heads or Tails. Participants  enjoyed live entertainment; rocking to the sounds of Country Music Stars Jollie Holliday and Sonny Burgess. The crowd also enjoyed an open buffet before the main event, emceed by NBC 5 sports news anchor Marc Fein, began.

A riveting live auction followed, which included items like a 7-day trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and lunch with Cowboys legend Roger Staubach.

Right after, our honorary chairs Beverly Warren, Mike Andereck and Brian Brode, were acknowledged for 25 years of dedicated service to both Fantasy Football Draft Night and The Warren Center.

The evening ended with the national anthem, performed by Maya Delgado, and an action packed fantasy football draft.

This annual event benefits the lives of thousands of area children and families impacted by developmental delays and disabilities. Children like 8 year-old Abe, whose journey you learned about at the event. Thank you for your participation and supporting The Warren Center. Together, we are helping children reach their full potential.

    My husband & I were guest attendees of this fundraiser back in 1997. At the time, our 18 month old daughter was a client receiving critical therapy. She still struggles to achieve, but has benefited EVERY day from her ECI. We are as grateful today as we were back then. What a great night! What a great cause!;
