The period from birth to five years is a time of rapid intellectual, linguistic, social, emotional, and motor development. The earliest possible intervention is critical due to the accelerated brain development during these early years of life. The therapists engage the parent and caregiver in the child’s care in their natural environment. Today we carry out our mission through these programs and services.
EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION (ECI)
Our ECI program provides personalized therapy sessions to children from birth to 3 years old in their natural environment (home or daycare). Therapy services include but are not limited to therapy in communication, motor/coordination, and sensory processing.
CLINIC THERAPY SERVICES
Our Clinic Therapy Services program provides comprehensive evaluation and therapy services for children three to five years of age. Services include individual and group therapy in communication, social skills, motor/coordination, and sensory processing.
FAMILY EDUCATION & SUPPORT
The Family Education and Support (FES) program equips families and caregivers through education, workshops, support meetings and providing referrals to resources in the community. A library of developmental journals and books is also available to families through this service.
RECESS
Recess provides parents with the opportunity to take a break. Parents are able to drop their child off and go out to dinner, run errands or just go take a nap– whatever it is that will help them recharge. This service is provided monthly at all three locations.
