The Warren Center’s Art of Music Gala Raises $104,000

From the live performances to the original pieces of art and the unique decor, everything about our 2018 Art of Music Gala, on February 10, was just as spectacular as the event’s theme, “Wonderland”. The second annual black-tie event, which was held at the South Side Ballroom, had 225 guests and raised a net proceed of $104,000 for The Warren Center. See highlights from the evening in the video below.

The 2018 Art of Music Gala was co-chaired by David Call and Jordan Roberts and was presented by Melody and Rick Rogers and the Moglia Family foundation on behalf of Amy Heuerman and Joseph Moglia. The evening’s program included four musical performances by the talented musicians K.C. King, Ryan Berg, Jamar Jones and the event’s headliner and rhythm and blues superstar, Vivian Green.

After each performance, local Dallas-Fort Worth visual artists revealed their artwork that was inspired by the event’s theme of “Wonderland”. The four DFW visual artists included Jonathan Ramirez, Milessa Murphy Stewart, Christina Yielding and Abel Garcia.

There was also a live auction of the visual artists’ original artwork and musician’s compositions, a silent auction, an interactive photo booth and food and drink for guests to enjoy. Guests also had the opportunity to meet some of the children and families we serve, and read about their stories. In addition, Auctioneer Phillip Pierceall and the event’s emcee, Ben Smithee also helped keep guest entertained throughout the night.

While there were many fun and memorable moments during the 2018 Art of Music Gala, one of the main highlights of the evening was seeing the amount of support and passion for The Warren Center and the children and families we serve. Thank you to all the guests who attended and as well as everyone who helped make this event possible: our staff and volunteers, The Art of Music Committee, the musicians, visual artists and families that attended and all of our generous sponsors.
